Hard Rock Cafe is bringing you the sound, culture and taste of Mexico with Mexican Fiesta from 1st September to 28th September. It is a carnival of aromas and flavors of traditional Mexican delicacies on your plate. My palate was waiting to taste Mexican dishes in Bangalore during the chef's table.
Chef Niranjan took us through the menu specially crafted for the festival. The starters were served along without preferred drinks. Spicy corn and cheddar cheese samosette served with basil pesto dip was the repeated order, I would call it the Mexican samosa.
Nachos Cantina, inspired from Cantina Mexican restaurant, baked crispy corn chips, smoothered with melted cheese and topped with Guacamole, roasted tomato salsa and sour cream. We also tried this with smoky chicken. I preferred the veg version of it.
Tex mex veg salad which included freshly chopped greens tossed with spiced walnuts, roasted red peppers, sweet corn, cheddar cheese with smoky honey vinaigrette dressing. I would surely try this again.
Tijuana chicken tenders marinated with smoky tijuana spice served with guacamole ranch. I preferred the tenders only with guacamole ranch else it wasn't much juicy.
Orange tequila prawns was surely different from what I have ever eaten. King prawns glazed with orange chipotle sauce and flambeed with tequila for smoky appeal.
Smoky char grilled chipotle chicken quesadillas was pretty good to taste and surely not less in quantity so the fillings have not been compromised. Filled with smoky in-house special spice rubbed chipotle grilled chicken, jalapeno, spring onions, tangy sauce and melted cheese sandwiched between 2 crispy tortilla and it was grilled to perfection.
Next was, BBQ chicken Toastada. Tostada is a Spanish word meaning "toasted". Baked thin crust tortilla topped with seasoned char grilled chicken, sweet red peppers, chipotle BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, jalapenos and cheddar cheese surely was a new way of having a tortilla.
Smoked chicken and tangy bean tacos is surely a must try. Crispy corn tortilla shells with tangy BBQ sauce, stuffed with grilled seasoned chicken, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pinto bean, sweet corn and spring onions served with mixed cheese, guacamole and sour cream.
Last but not the least, the most filling of all, Bahama mama chicken tender Burrito was served. Tortilla with roasted chipotle chilli ranch topped with baked bean, sweet corn, fresh dill rugout, seasoned chicken tenders, shredded lettuce, mixed cheese and jalapeno served with spiced fried, guacamole and sour cream can fill anyone's tummy.
We ended our meal with Sizzlin skillet scorched, walnut brownie topped with chocolate fudge and vanilla ice-cream.
Tres leche was my favorite. It is a sponge cake a butter cake soaked in three kinds of milk - evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream.

We started our evening with a round of mocktail and Mexican cocktails. Fool's gold was one of the favorite and most preferred drink which was a mishmash of tequila, triple sec, lime juice, coke, tabasco and sugar syrup. I enjoyed my evening with some of the famous cooler's of HRC.
