If I may have to start then I can be rest assured that Ola needs no introduction. Dial 3355 3355 and say OLA.
To begin with, Olacabs was founded in January 2011 by IIT Bombay alumni Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati who is India's largest aggregator in car rentals and point-to-point cab services.
Customers can access Olacabs on the web, through their mobile apps or through the customer service center. It currently offers its services in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Goa and Pune.
I was taken a back when I was invited by Olacabs for the launch of their new service, Ola Mini, at auto fares in Bangalore. I never thought that I would get a cab service at the price of an auto or should I say less than an auto as auto drivers always charge more than the meter. For the first time, a cab service has been launched at auto rates in Bangalore. The cheapest fare in India at Rs.13 per km. Ola mini is launching with 250 cars and over 1000 such cars will be on Bangalore' streets by the end of 2014.
Ola mini will be offered at auto rickshaw fare of Rs 13 per km with a base fare of Rs.100 for the first 6 km which makes Olacabs the least expensive AC cab service available in the city. All the new service with Ola's standards of offering the best in class travel experience to its customers. The AC compact cars under this service are Tata Indica Vista and Ford Figo. Customers will also get the usual cutting edge services like the ability to book and track the cab through their mobile phones, e-mailed receipts, accurate meter and well trained professional drivers.
The vivacious Gul Panag, former Miss India, actor and activist, inaugurated the service and shared her cab stories on how she uses a cab at night to allow her driver to have a good sleep and be refreshed for next day's work. She also encouraged and was overwhelmed with the idea of entrepreneur turned drivers.
Everyone in Bangalore should try the Ola mini and give your head some rest from bargaining with the auto rickshaw drivers and indulge in some great AC cabs at auto fares.
